Finished reading: The Butcher’s Masquerade by Matt Dinniman

Wow, this book was very nearly serious fantasy! It has huge stakes, multiple meaningful races, some hope that what they do in this book will have impacts on the next one, and some actual pathos! Easily the best in the series so far.
